The immersive exhibition Below the Ice with Mario Cyr invites the audience on a journey to a mysterious and almost-inaccessible place: the Canadian Arctic. As they travel through images taken from filmmaker Mario Cyr’s expeditions, visitors will be drawn into the breathtaking beauty of the spectacular landscapes. Polar bears, walruses, narwhals, sea angels and large marine mammals cross his path. Witnessing the magnificence of these endangered landscapes and the creatures that inhabit them, visitors will also become aware of their fragility.
The exhibition Below the ice with Mario Cyr is presented at the Eloize Studios – Old Montreal as of June 2.

As an underwater cinematographer, he's collaborated on more than 150 productions, including for Disney Productions, Imax 3D, BBC NHK, TV Tokyo, The Explorers, France 2, David Suzuki, National Geographic and The Cousteau Society. His long career and passion for ocean life have led him to discover the world's seas, meeting the most admired and enigmatic animals on our planet along the way.

Is the exhibition available in both French and English?
Yes, the explanatory texts accompanying the exhibition are provided in both languages. However, the audio content (like interview excerpts) will be available in French only.
When can we visit the exhibition?
The exhibition is opened Monday to Sunday from 10am to 7.15pm until October 31, 2021.

Do children under 5 years old pay entrance fees?
The admission is free for children aged to 0 to 5; however, a Free Admission ticket is required to allow us to control the number of visitors and ensure the social distances.
Is the exhibition accessible to people with reduced mobility?
Yes, our studios are equipped to accommodate people with reduced mobility.
No, we don't have a coat check or lockers for your personal belongings.
No, animals will not be allowed on site.
Are there bathrooms on site?
Yes, we have bathrooms available to use in our studios. Please note that they are only available to ticket holders and BEFORE entering the exhibition. You won't be able to access them during or after the exhibition.
Is parking available?
No, we don't have parking available on site. However, there are several paid parking lots close by (e.g. Clock Tower).
What security/sanitary measures will be in place?
The exhibition offers visitors a safe museum-style experience. Visitors will move around without contact while respecting social distancing measures and face masks must be worn at all times. Anyone with symptoms of COVID-19, or who've been in contact with someone who has COVID, will not be able to enter. All recent travelers have to quarantine for 14 days, in accordance with government policy. Management reserves the right to refuse entry to anyone who fails to comply with these measures.
